SRM Hotel Mgt Inst inks MoU with Malaysian Varsity

The SRM Institute of Hotel Management, part of the SRM Group of Institutions,today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the USCI University, Malaysia to offerHotel Management Programme to enable students gets dual degrees.

The MoU was signed by S K Kalairasan, CEO of Tharsad Training Academy, Malaysia andMr Nadesan, Director, SRM TRP Properties Private Limited, in the presence of USCI VarsityVice-Chancellor Dato Dr Khalid Yosuff and Dr Anthony Ashok Kumar, Director of SRM Instituteof Hotel Management.

The MoU was aimed at providing students an Indian and International degree inHotel Management by pursuing a few semesters at USCI University.

”We are planning to admit about 600 to 700 students under the programme”, Dr Anthony Ashok Kumarsaid, adding, Malaysia has been selected considering its strategic location and the cost would also beaffordable.

In future, student exchange programme would also be facilitated between the two institutions.

He said SRM students pursuing one year programme in Malaysia as part of the three-year hotel management course, would be given a stipend for six months.

Once they completed their course, they would get degrees both from SRM and also from USCI,which would provide enormous job opportunities for them in the hospitality sector across the world.UNI GV GM AK1402
