Magnolia Hotel Dallas – Park Cities Becomes Eleventh Independent Property in Texas to Join the Stash Rewards Program

Dallas, TX – August 25, 2015 – Magnolia Hotels today announced that it has expanded its partnership with Stash Hotel Rewards by adding its newest property to the nation’s largest point-based loyalty program for independent hotels. With the addition of Magnolia Hotel Dallas Park Cities, travelers can now earn and redeem Stash points at all six Magnolia Hotels and a total of eleven different independent hotels throughout Texas.

“Magnolia’s first property joined Stash in June of 2013, and since then we’ve seen amazing results that have inspired us to offer Stash Rewards at all of our hotels,” said Jasper Verlaan, Corporate Director of Sales for Stout Street Hospitality, the management company for Magnolia Hotels. “In the last year alone, Magnolia properties have earned about $250,000 in new guest revenue from the Stash program and our average daily rates, lengths of stay, and revenue from Stash member stays have all increased. Early signs are very encouraging for Park Cities as well, with an overall return on investment of over 550% in the first three weeks.”

Partnering with Stash Hotel Rewards has also helped Magnolia Hotels win important group business. Collectively, the six Magnolia properties booked over $500,000 in group business last year with Stash members and rewarded meeting planners with $5,696 in Stash points, delivering an 884% return on investment.

The Stash program has also helped Magnolia Hotels increase direct bookings by offering guests who booked stays through an online travel agency, like Expedia or Travelocity, the opportunity to earn double Stash points if they booked direct within the next six months. As a result, 95 members returned for a total of 171 return stays. Without the middle-man markup, Magnolia’s profit margin increased by 20-25%, or an added $17,072 in revenue during that period.

Magnolia Hotel Dallas Park Cities opened in June, after a 12 million dollar renovation transformed the property into a sophisticated, modern boutique – complete with stylish décor, elegant features and new amenities like 37-inch flat screen televisions. Guests can stay in their uniquely tailored rooms and enjoy complimentary bedtime cookies and milk, or easily access Downtown Dallas, Southern Methodist University, Fair Park/Cotton Bowl, American Airlines Center, Greenville Avenue, and the North Park Mall.

“Like all the Magnolia Hotels, the new Park Cities hotel is really a beautiful property, from the floor-to-ceiling windows to contemporary warmth and modern amenities you’ll find in every room,” said Jeff Low, Founder and CEO of Stash Hotel Rewards. “Magnolia properties are known for delivering the combination of attentive service and a sense of opulence that Stash looks to give all our members, who care passionately about travel.”

The ten other Stash partner hotels in Texas include Magnolia Hotel Dallas, Magnolia Hotel Houston, AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center in Austin, Vintage Villas Hotel & Events in Austin, Arbor Inn & Suites in Lubbock, Overton Hotel & Conference Center in Lubbock, Hotel Granduca in Houston, La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa in Montgomery, Crockett Hotel in San Antonio, and Menger Hotel in San Antonio.

Travelers can join Stash for free at www.stashrewards.com. Stash members earn five points for each dollar spent on eligible room rates and can redeem them at more than 160 one-of-a-kind independent hotels across the U.S. and the Caribbean. Stash points never expire, and redemption is simple, without blackout dates or category restrictions found in many chain programs. Stash partner hotels also provide members with exclusive travel deals.
